"5 Tips for Busy Women to Avoid Binge Eating and Overeating"

As a busy human, it can be easy to fall into the trap of overeating or binge eating. Whether it's due to stress, lack of time, or simply not paying attention to your body's hunger cues, overeating can have serious consequences for your physical and mental health. But don't stress if you find yourself in this cycle – there are ways to break the cycle and maintain a healthy diet, even if you have a busy schedule, here are some tips to help with any binge eating or over eating that could occur from the above.

  1. Plan ahead. One of the biggest triggers for overeating is feeling unprepared or rushed when it comes to meals. To avoid this, make a plan for your meals and snacks in advance. This way, you'll always have healthy options on hand, and you won't be as likely to grab just whatever when you're in a rush. You also need to make sure you have meals to consume throughout the day rather than going all day without anything only to risk sending you into f**kit mode later on.

  2. Keep healthy snacks on hand. Speaking of snacks, it's important to have healthy options readily available throughout the day. Some great options include raw veggies, fruit, nuts, and seeds or protein bars if you are really rushed. These snacks will help keep you feeling full and satisfied, so you'll be less likely to overeat when you finally sit down for a meal.

  3. Listen to your body. Overeating often happens when we're not paying attention to our body's hunger cues. To avoid this, make sure to tune into your body and listen to what it's telling you. Eat when you're truly hungry, and if you are full don't feel you need to eat some more. Sometimes we have to try and unlock that learnt behaviour were brought up with..finish everything on your plate.

  4. Find healthy ways to cope with stress. Stress is one of the biggest triggers for overeating and binge eating. To avoid this, find healthy ways to cope with stress, such as exercise, yoga, meditation, less screen time or journaling.

  5. Practice mindful eating. Mindful eating is all about being present and fully engaged in the act of eating. When you're eating mindfully, you'll be less likely to overeat because you'll be more aware of what you're putting into your body.

Binge eating can be a significant challenge for busy humans especially, but it is possible to break the cycle and maintain a healthy diet. By planning ahead, keeping healthy snacks on hand, listening to your body, finding healthy ways to cope with stress, and practicing mindful eating, you can avoid binge eating and take steps towards a healthier you!!
