What is a superset??

A superset is a form of strength training in which you move quickly from one exercise to a separate exercise without taking a break for rest in between the two exercises.

For example you may do a set of dumbbell press and then straight after that set do a set of pushups, you would then repeat this 3-4 times , all depending on how many sets your programme prescribes.

Supersets are a great way to save time and get more out of your time when you are doing a workout , this is great for those of you who are busy and don’t have much time to spare.

Most of the time when you do a superset, you would use the opposing muscle groups, such as chest and back, so that one area can recover while you train the other one, thereby reducing the time needed to rest even more.

Once each superset is complete, then rest for one and a half to two minutes to recover before starting your next superset.

Its good to mix it up , if you are short for time then I would recommend you doing supersets but if you can make a little bit more time try and do some straight set workouts too to work on progressively overloading the muscles more.
